|Record of my Transition
I'm a Female-to-Male(ish) (FTM/F2M/F-M) transgendered/transsexual person but you can call me Nathaniel.
I realised I was Trans in January 2004, and you can read all about that in my biography. I found a wealth of resources and information on the Internet; I also found a thriving Trans community on LiveJournal which put me in touch with other Transpeople and the help, advice and general support they have given me has been vital throughout this time.
As I had found very little information for FTMs, especially those in the UK, it prompted me to start this site which was set up in February 2004. I have always been quite happy to put myself forward as a contact for other Transfolk and as such, I'm open to being contacted by anyone questioning their gender whether you're considering transition or not, by family/friends/significant others/allies, or anyone who wants to learn more - please see my Contact page for details on how to get in touch with me by e-mail or messenger. I'm also a moderator of Yay for Queers, an online IRC chat which is mostly for new Trans folk - we'll accept anyone as long as you're respectful - who want to talk to other Trans folk but either prefer to do it online, are unable to meet in real life for whatever reason or just like chatting online!
I started living full-time as male in September 2004 and legally changed my name by statutory declaration on June 17, 2005. I'm now happier and more comfortable in myself than I've ever been. In March 2006, I finally found my other half and have since been in a long-term relationship with Michael, whom I love dearly.
I started taking testosterone on 13 December, 2005. Originally, I was on Sustanon 250mg injected every 4 weeks but on April 21, 2006 I switched to every 3 weeks. I recently changed to a two week schedule on June 25, 2007. I'm hoping at some point to be able to get over my needlephobia and be able to self-inject.
On March 28, 2006, I flew out to San Francisco to have top surgery with Dr Brownstein. All updates on my transition are available at the links below.
